Fatimatu Issa Gurin
Born: August 11, 1953 – Santa Isabel, Equatorial Guinea
Died: November 30, 2025 – Yaounde
Fondly known to many as Fatima or Fatou, Fatimatu Issa Gurin lived a life defined by love, faith, resilience, and devotion to family. Her journey was a testament to the strength of spirit and the enduring power of compassion.
Born to Alhadji Mallam Issa Gurin and Benita Sohome Alobari, Fatimatu grew into a woman whose warmth and generosity touched everyone she encountered. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gustave Youmba (2011), and her cherished son, Benito Issa (2014).
She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength, survived by:

- Her brothers Aboubakar Issa Gurin (Fadimatou Ayena) and Mohammadou Issa Gurin
- Her daughters Mboti Rahila Well (Olivier Well) and Fatiha Issa Laglane (Serge Laglane)
- Five grandchildren: Issa and Imani Well, Danielle, Lea, and Raphael Laglane
- Her honorary son Dr. Ahmadou Jingi, his wife Samira Jingi, and their children Hasan, Ousein, Zeynabu, and Fadimatou
- Her niece and nephews: Asamau, Boevi, and Ibrahim Bodylawson; Mahmoud and Hatim Issa Gurin
- Her grand-niece and nephew: Chelsea and Richmond Defang

Beyond her immediate family, Fatimatu’s life touched countless others—her extended family of close friends, and all those whom she loved and cherished dearly.
A devoted elder of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Fatimatu faithfully served in ministry, remaining active until her passing. Her unwavering faith and commitment to service inspired those around her and strengthened the bonds of her community.
Her memory will remain a guiding light, reminding all who knew her of the power of compassion, faith, and family bonds. Fatimatu’s legacy is one of faith, resilience and love—a life lived with grace, and a spirit that will continue to shine through the generations she nurtured
